Following a comprehensive assessment, discussion and planning of nutrition outcomes, interventions are tailored on a case-by-case basis. Initial consultations are generally 50-60 minutes and follow up appointments 20-30 minutes.

Achieving nutritional goals is often best achieved through a step-wise approach and will most likely require more than one appointment. Therefore, we ask that you commit to attending at least 2-3 appointments (initial appointment plus 1-2 follow-ups) to ensure best results. The spacing between these follow-up appointments will be individualised according to your needs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU
For your initial consultation feel free to bring along any medication, supplements, medical documents, recent blood test results and doctor’s referrals to the consultation. If you have booked a body fat analysis, please bring along comfortable clothing such as shorts and t-shirt.
LATE ARRIVALS AND CANCELLATIONS
We understand that ‘life happens’ and that sometimes you will need to cancel or reschedule. However, the session you have booked with the dietitian has been set out for you alone, and cannot be re-booked at short notice. Late arrivals (>15min) and appointments not cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time will be billed to your account.
Shelly Meltzer & Associates is a strict cash practice and payment should be made on the day directly to the practitioner. On payment (cash, card, Snapscan or EFT with proof of payment confirmation) you will receive a statement which may be submitted to your medical aid for possible reimbursement.
