Louise Clamp qualified as a dietitian at UCT. She has an honours degree in Exercise Science and is currently completing her PhD through the UCT division of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. Prior to joining in 2017, Louise ran her own private practice based in Sea Point, providing nutrition advice covering healthy eating and weight loss, along with meeting the requirements for a range of clinical conditions as well as sports performance. She also ran group weight loss programs together with a biokineticist incorporating healthy eating and exercise. Having completed a number of self-sufficient, multistage (Marathon des Sables, Jungle Marathon, Augrabies Extreme Marathon, Gobi Desert March) and ultra-distance events (Grand Union Canal race, Outeniqua Quest 100km, Sky Run 100km), Louise has a keen interest in optimizing nutrition to support training and performance goals of athletes.
